What is KRISS in Lund?
KRISS in Lund is an ecumenical student association. We want to create a community for those who yearn for something larger in life. A sincere and honest life, with the desire to love God, one self and one’s fellow. We turn to those with a Christian faith, but also those who are curious about the Christian faith.

We don’t stand for any political ideology. If we do something for people and society, then we do so from a Christian foundation. Jesus Christ gives us great hope! We have different approaches to the Christian faith and we believe and hope that that will enrich our group. We have different gifts, which we can share to support both the association and each other. We don’t ask from our members that they should have a certain standpoint on theological questions, for example how the bible should be interpreted.

KRISS in Lund is a local chapter of KRISS (‘Christian Student Movement in Sweden) and in that way also part of a worldwide ecumenical student movement, WSCF (World Student Christian Federation.) Every year, both national and international activities are being organized – have a look at the national website for more information. www.kriss.se

So, what do we do?
KRISS in Lund comes together every Thursday (except on feast days and during holidays/summer). We start the evening in the crypt of the Cathedral (Domkyrkan), where we take part in the Taizé-inspired mass, which is being organized by the student chaplaincy. On the first Thursday in the month, this service in English, but the order of service is so simple and plain, that it also goes very well to come to one of the Swedish services.
After that, we head over to the Domkyrkoforum (room ‘Finn’, downstairs) for conversation, sharing, coffee (well, fika) and we invite guests.
The mass in the crypt starts at 6.30 PM, our meetings start around 7.30 PM and usually end around 9 PM. As an international (non-Swedish speaking) student you are very welcome to join us! The first Thursday of the month, our meetings will be in English, but on the other nights you can still join. Fika – after all – speaks every language and most probably there will be someone able and willing to translate for you!
